"
Safety Plan" - by
John Macrae
Safety Plan ...What is a Safety Plan for a constuction project? It is a management plan for project safety. The plan lets everyone (the owner, the construction managers, the construction workers, and the insurance co.) know how safety will be managed. The worker will know his/hers responsibilities, such as wearing personal protection devices, being alert, and listening to and obeying his/her supervisor. The plan author will review the project scope for risks, types of work, and the associated OSHA regulations, and use these resources to develop the plan. The plan will address pre-work safety meetings for the workers, safety procedures based on work types, periodic safety inspections, and safety administration. The goal of the safety plan is to accomplish the project work with no injuries to the workers. The workers are happy to be a part of a safe place to work!
